Visual Basic for Applications was a form of Visual Basic built in the COM framework. Its syntax is very similair to SadScript and has been replaced by Visual Basic.NET. VBA includes Visual Basic 6.0 and lower.

Since 2005, VBA was no longer manufactured and support from Microsoft ended in 2008. Despite a few downloads such as VB6 Portable are still available in Microsoft.
